Files in public domain? edit

At April 27, 2011, in the text there is "Unlike those files obtained from Wikipedia, not all material used on Qwiki is in the public domain." but I believe this sentence is not correct. Not all files on Wikipedia are in the public domain, for example many photos are from Flickr and released under creative common licences. Currently, I don't know precisely how to rephrase the sentence so I hope that someone more skilled in licensing might correct this. --phauly (talk) 09:40, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

To be honest, the sentence is completely inaccurate. Although many images and other files are in the public domain, all textual content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribute/Share-Alike license and are copyrighted. Furthermore, although most files are licensed under terms that allow redistribution, many files are not and can only be used under Fair Use Rights. I am removing this sentence entirely. --Topsfield99 (talk) 20:27, 16 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

This site appears to be down- perhaps this age should be archived. 121.45.215.68 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:12, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

iPhone only, no iPad app now? edit

As of iOS 7 in September 2013, the old iPad version does not seem to work anymore, and there is only an iPhone version of the qwiki app in the App Store. GeoFan49 (talk) 00:29, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page edit

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \bqwiki\b.com\b on the local blacklist
