This article is factually incorrect. Nat King Cole died in 1965. Doris Day also had a major hit with this song, also about 1965 (date unsubstantiated). Therefore it could not possibly have been written in the 1970s.

Also, it is incorrect that Gael Garcia Bernal sang the song in "Bad Education." He was lip syncing a version done by Sara Montiel (whom I feel should be listed as one of the more popular performers of this song).

Should this song be listed in the category of 1958 songs? Even though a version of it was released in 1958, if it is listed in this category, it would have to be inserted into the category for all of the other versions of the song for this to be accurate.

There is an instrumental version by Antonio Arcaño that's dated 1945 in the liner notes (Tumbao TCD-029) so the date of authorship is late--23.93.192.5 (talk) 06:59, 2 December 2022 (UTC)

Cake single

I added an infobox about the Cake single, and somebody deleted it say, "The others don't have a big section about them." However, "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" was re-recorded by a famous alternative rock group, Cake. It was re-writtne by their lead singler, John McCrea. It was released as a single. It was preformed live. These four things garantee it a single's infobox. It should be removed. Also, one last thing to note, many of the others weren't released as singles, they were just rerecorded. If this gets removed, then so should Green Day's cover of "I Fought the Law" and "The Simpson's Theme," Guns N' Roses cover of "Live and Let Die" and "Sympathy for the Devil," Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt," or Milli Vanilli's cover of "Girl You Know It's True." --Gen. Please see Wikipedia:Other stuff exists. Maybe those are examples of articles that need to be rectified too. I believe this is a very popular song that shouldn't be centered in particular cover. I am not removing the box, since I am not familiar enough with the subject to make further edtis to the article, but someone should look into this. Maziotis (talk) 20:41, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

If you think those versions are notable, feel free to add them, preferably with references documenting their existence and perhaps notability. That's what I just did with the Doris Day version, which I know from three different albums.

Arabic Song version

First recording of the English version

Some sources have Desi Arnaz as the first one who recorded the English version, so I checked and indeed there is a 1948 recording by Arnaz (RCA), noted as cover of the 1947 Spanish version of Bobby Capo: http://www.whosampled.com/cover/64294/Desi-Arnaz-Perhaps,-Perhaps,-Perhaps-Bobby-Capo-Quizas,-Quizas/.
