Mr. EkoGraf, Editor and other members. Help me with this article. It is a large military offensive using heavy weapons every day and every hour of the 18th of February. From yesterday and ground offensive.--Baba Mica (talk) 13:24, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
- The article is not in line with WP policy regarding WP:NOTCRYSTALBALL. The article itself says per cited sources that a ground offensive has not started yet and that only artillery firing has so far took place. And also, you again cited liveumap which is not considered a reliable source by Wikipedia. Other media outlets also report that sporadic negotiations are still taking place to try and prevent any offensive. Wikipedia does not predict possible future events that could take place. This article is a prediction that also violates Wikipedia policy regarding Original Research. If no real ground offensive takes place in the next few days the article will have to be redirected. Only artillery shelling does not count. Also, there is the issue of notability of the event. Wikipedia does not create articles for every possible minor clash or short-term operation that takes place in the conflict. Unless something is notable or at least semi-notable it does not deserve an article per Wikipedia policy. IF a ground offensive does take place, we will see if it becomes notable enough to warrant keeping the article. EkoGraf (talk) 15:50, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
Contradictions within the article edit

Is there a real offensive edit

Change name? edit
I think name of the article should be changed, since clashes cover not only Qaboun but also Barzeh and recently Jobar too with some military activities ongoing in Harasta. Should be named something like "Eastern Damascus offensive (February 2017-present)" GroundlessAir (talk) 18:54, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
