When I saw Q's ending, the heading on that slip of paper looked more to me like 'Robodekk Q' than 'Robodexx'. What does the consensus think? Sprinter h 03:54, 7 June 2006 (UTC) As best as I can see, the first character is definitely an 'x' with the second semi-indeterminant. So it's either Robodexk Q or Robodexx Q and I'm leaning on the latter. Messatsu 10:11, 25 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Who I Think Q Is. edit

I really Think that Q could be Gouken, Akuma's older brother. I think that Gouken somehow came back to life, is back for revenge —Preceding unsigned comment added by Manlan 2006 (talkcontribs)

  • *stifles laughter* Well, you're free to think whatever you want. Danny Lilithborne 05:38, 3 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Immortal- I think that Q cannont be bison because he is shown here in StreetFighter 2 in the U.S Level... streetfighterq.ytmnd.com Explain that...

  • Easy. That's not Q. He's shown with a more human appearance in future ports, and is listed as a separate character in the All About Capcom books. Danny Lilithborne 16:38, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

A footnote edit

"Q" is the title of a tale, claimed to be written by a non existent person, Luther Blisset. So i may think Q is a tribute of this non existent character by a non existent writer. kizoushaidan, september 2006

I couldn't find an ISBN for the book that matched the claimed 1999 release (without month or date). And the book wasn't initially in Japanese (I can't tell if it was ever published in Japanese), so anyone in Capcom with clout to give a name to a character would have had to have known Italian. Given that Third Strike was released the same year and Q was probably named substantially before the release, this probably isn't a source for his name.Messatsu 09:21, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Q page as a redirect edit

  • I don't think this page should redirect to Street Fighter III since Q is an actual playable character that doesn't require a secret code or unlocking. The oft-cited "there is absolutely no info on Q" is also categorically false (he saw the demise of Shadaloo, CIA has a file on him) and should not be used as an argument to delete the article. Danny Lilithborne 06:20, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
All of the info about Q is going to be derived directly from SF3, and is indeed going to be about SF3. This is the start of a long-coming merge down of much of these very crufty character articles that are nothing but badly referenced plot summary; this one just happens to have an AFD to back it up. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 06:31, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'd honestly support a merge and redirect if the Street Fighter III article has a character list to adapt. In that case, the characters that only appeared in SF3 could be merged without confusion. (To wit, they are Remy, Makoto, Necro, Twelve, Dudley, Oro, Gill and arguably Sean). Then let's get started. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 06:38, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I added character descriptions in Street Fighter III as a preliminary action towards this. Danny Lilithborne 06:54, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • I inform that a Japanese page for Q is now available.--Warsman 09:24, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Should someone translated Q's Japanese page into this instead of letting admins do deleting and redirecting the page? Q absolutely has a back story and details to write about, and the old Q page sucks, especially the Q's Identity part, and needs to be rewritten. Kaiteng316 17 November 2006
The Japanese Q page is not much different than the English one in terms of the known information. Details of personal action effects. Special moves. Super Arts. How to face him in Third Strike. To sum up, most of the article's "new" information is gameplay information. Something similar could be salvaged from the page in English left in the history... even though most of it looked like bs. Messatsu 05:24, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • なお、普段一切の言葉を発しないQであるが、捕獲の発動時のみ「Danger!」と、合成音による女性の警告音声と思しきものが発せられる。
the above japanese could be translated as:
when Q successfully uses SA3 and grabs the enemy, he will make a female voice saying "danger" before he explodes,we are not sure whether this is his/her own voice or a warning from a computer in his body
i do think this is an interesting information
i'm sorry, my english is poor, plz help modify them

The Question edit

Seems fairly obvious to me that Q is inspired by Charlton Comics' character The Question. Moreso than the other characters mentioned in the trivia section, or at least somewhere down the line these characters were all based on The Question. -- 85.210.50.158 22:04, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is Q will be in Upcoming Crossover fighting games, Tekken x Street Fighter? edit

Yes Q has sixth ranked. In the official poll by Namco, Q is currently the third most requested Tekken character to be added to the roster of Tekken X Street Fighter, at 15.72% of votes.[1]

No, they specifically said they wouldn't add him. This isn't a forum. 85.210.179.215 (talk) 22:19, 29 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
