Not quite sure why this page is up for "Speedy Deletion". Can someone please explain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Westsidepb (talkcontribs) 03:48, 17 November 2006

Neiuther can I, but this page shouldn't be titled "World's Largest Drum", as it isn't. Tubezone 06:17, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Not Really the Word's Largest Drum...??? The Purdue drum would not necessarily be larger than an African drum called "The Great Drum of Biffeche" made from the hollowed-out fat trunk of a giant Baobab tree, mentioned in http://www.kingdomofbiffeche.net/people.htm conceived as source of "Tonnerre d'N’doute". 2600:1700:2000:E740:5922:2535:4DDD:940D (talk) 21:06, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
World's Largest Drum is the NAME of the drum. If you look at the picture it says "World's Largest Drum" in bold print on the drum head. Westsidepb 13:34, 09 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't the article say the drum is officialy called the Big Bass Drum? 71.10.51.237 (talk) 22:34, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sometime in the late eighties or early nineties my father-in-law John E.Van Matre was given the honor of lettering the drum. This man was an extremely talented sign painter and interior designer. He was very proud of his work but, very humble as well. He passed away in 2001 although his artistic contributions live on.
