Disambiguation at main name edit

Why is the main name space the disambiguation page when virtually all references are to the book or some offshoot/reference of the book? The book's article should be here and the disambiguation page should be at the standard (disambiguation) title. DreamGuy 20:34, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree on that. The book is a very famous one, and most of the other meanings probably refer to Krafft-Ebing's work. Currently Psychopathia Sexualis (book) redirects to a section in the article on the author, but I don't see that as a problem especially as the book might well be lifted out to its own article in the future. I'll move the disambig page. // habj (talk) 07:17, 4 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

WP:Primary topic edit

Tassedethe, you stated, "no clear primary topic." This is not true. Like an editor stated above, "virtually all references are to the book or some offshoot/reference of the book." This is still true. A simple Google search shows that the Richard von Krafft-Ebing book is the primary topic. We can see this on regular Google, on Google Books, and on Google Scholar. The Psychopathia Sexualis (film) article is even based on Richard von Krafft-Ebing material. You should revert your move. That, or at WP:Requested moves, I will request that the page is moved back. On second thought, I'm going to go ahead and list this undiscussed move there at WP:Requested moves anyway. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 22:34, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Flyer22 Reborn. I moved it as there had been multiple moves in the past. Before I moved things the Psychopathia Sexualis page redirected to the page Psychopathia Sexualis (book) while there was a separate book at Psychopathia Sexualis (Heinrich Kaan). So I corrected the ambiguously titled pages to Psychopathia Sexualis (Richard von Krafft-Ebing book) and Psychopathia Sexualis (Heinrich Kaan book). I'm happy to undo moves but not to the previous sitaution. If your assertion of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC is correct then the moves would be to revert this page to Psychopathia Sexualis (disambiguation) and then move Psychopathia Sexualis (Richard von Krafft-Ebing book) to Psychopathia Sexualis (not to Psychopathia Sexualis (book)). If that suits please let me know. Tassedethe (talk) 23:03, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Tassedethe, at WP:Requested moves, I noted that "Psychopathia Sexualis (Richard von Krafft-Ebing book)" should be moved to "Psychopathia Sexualis." Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 23:09, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
