COI tagging

Researching would disclose that Mr. Blacker passed in 1988, almost 35 years ago.

Objectively speaking, just as in the tone of the article, which is dispassionate, matter of fact, & neutral,- there are at least 43 cites in the article from multiple 3rd party publications which, as the case may be, supports each and every statement / sentence. The 3rd party published sources includes EAA's 'Sport Aviation', 'This is EAA' by Duane Cole, 'Oshkosh-50 years of Fly-ins by Lande',"The Story Begins" by Bonnie Poberezny, "EAA's Inspire publication", and even the autobiography of an EAA Hall of Famer! doing the math, the numbers work out to just slightly above an average of two '3rd party independent cites' per sentence in the full Article! Accordingly, those people and publication's have really already written, bit by bit, Project Schoolflight's story which has appropriately coalesced here on wikipedia into a very noteable story! Wouldn't other wikipedia story's be so fortunate as to have such a ratio of cites?! In reality, the article also does a good job of a summary with its bit of a transitional salute to the wonderful Young Eagles program at EAA. other than an appropriate salute to Young eagles there exists no other promotional benefit potential in this article as it is just simply telling the true past of Project Schoolflight to the aviation and general population as the one and only benefit-the story of 2 EAA/Project Schoolflight men from the past- one whom passed over 30 years ago- just as an encyclopedia should be! at no time has money$ been exchanged, or a factor in summarizing this story already told by others in their independent and disparate publications. Just trying to serve the aviation and general encyclopedia reading population in a best way by telling a great and notable story signifcant to EAA's history! RDBACE1 (talk) 01:15, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

Okay, sure, but you have strongly hinted in your edit summaries that you are a relative of the main person who is the subject of this article and your remarks here have not addressed that concern. We have to always be careful not just about promotional articles, but also about WP:NOTMEMORIAL and WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY here, as well as WP:COI. - Ahunt (talk) 01:45, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

We appreciate and accept your approving "okay" in your realizing that all COI concerns are now allayed by virtue of knowing that the large extent of 3rd party published cites coupled with the dispassionate, neutral tone, and encyclopedia read had already accomplished the calming of any concerns. I'll not comment on your "memorial' or "autobiography" inclusions as the story speaks for itself- a great story for EAA Org., for Paul Poberezny's vision,and all EAA members etc. It being so matter-of-factly told plus so well referenced as a factual based great story enures solely to the benefit of the EAA in so many ways. Certainly its not meant to benefit a man who's been passed for over 30 years or his family. Perhaps you just wanted to have the last say/word- who really knows but it's ok because earlier your edits really did a great job to polish/enhance the story as I'm, being a CPA, more of a numbers guy and your polish to the writing was so helpful- thank you for your edit contributions Ahunt-they really helped make the story shine even brighter! Who is "we"?

The first version of the article as posted was a long way from an encyclopedia article, closer to a personal reminiscence, but it has been somewhat improved from that point now. It can use some more work to clean up the WP:POV issues there, so I'll see if I can run through it all today and remove the tag once that is done. - Ahunt (talk) 19:11, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

yes- pretty much a novice I am at wikipedia but learned alot and we got thru it and the story is good and well done with your edits -thanks for your help and obvious writing talent- take care !
