Pronunciation edit

I watched the first episode, and Bryden does mention "MC-squared",[1] but after checking again, it seems clear to me that they say "square", not "squared", in the theme song at the end of the first episode, just as I originally thought. nyuszika7h (talk) 08:12, 29 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Actually I just checked again and it is "squared", I don't know why I didn't hear that before. nyuszika7h (talk) 18:52, 23 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Fact and source check required edit

Okay, so I noticed that there have recently been mentions of a male group parallel to the core females presented in the show, which struck me as curious since there were never presented in the show (and yes, I watched it; great binge watch, regardless of age or gender, but I digress). So I did a little extra digging.

There are zero references to the boys (Nathen, Marvin, Lennie, Vynce, Hermann and Ty) in the two core sources in this article (I'm aware IMDb is user-edited, so it may have not been included, but something that significant would be an odd exclusion to me; the other, however, is creator-owned and -edited, so I take this as a significant thing), and an extended search (i.e. outside of the presented sources) on the series presents an additional zero sources.

So I now call out to the person who added this information to present their sources for examination. --JB Adder | Talk 02:33, 14 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Jb-adder: I've watched the show and can confirm no such characters exist. That's simply fake information and vandalism, especially as they are claimed to have appeared in already released seasons. nyuszika7h (talk) 22:47, 16 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Seasons vs. "parts", Valentine's Day special edit

It appears Netflix is now calling the show's seasons "parts", like "Part 1", "Part 2", and "Part 3", although they have been advertised as seasons previously. Should we reflect this change in the article? Probably best to wait for more sources to see if they start calling them parts too. nyuszika7h (talk) 22:48, 16 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

I suspect the editor may be right about the special being standalone, as it also happened with Sense8. But we have no reliable sources as of now explicitly stating that this show's special is also a standalone. So unless a reliable source refutes Netflix's listing, it must stay listed as part of season 4. See also WP:NOTTRUTH. – nyuszika7h (talk) 19:40, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Nyuszika7H: Just pinging you to see if you have any further thoughts on this issue, or the "seasons" vs. "parts" issue. I find myself ambivalent as well, even though IIRC Netflix does put this down as "Part 4" (but with just a single episode) rather than as a "Special"... --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:45, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
@IJBall: Yeah, I'm not sure about it. Maybe if/when more episodes air, there other sources clearing up the confusion... "Part" is kinda weird, it might make sense if this is considered a miniseries with such short seasons, but Netflix is the only one using that so far, and it's a sudden change... nyuszika7h (talk) 21:11, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Well, this tweet suggests that new episodes are coming soon, so we'll see. nyuszika7h (talk) 22:50, 20 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Interesting... --IJBall (contribstalk) 05:27, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Nyuszika7H: Netflix is now advertising the show's return on September 15 (in the U.S.). Note that Netflix is billing this as "Part 5"... --IJBall (contribstalk) 17:08, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
@IJBall: Even though I contacted Netflix support a few days ago, and they said it's most likely a mistake and will contact the appropriate team, they released the five new episodes as "Part 5". I found this article which says 'Project “MC2” has been picked up for Seasons 4 and 5 and will have a special episode launching on February 14, 2017.'. That suggests this is a standalone special and "Part 5" is really the fourth season, and there will be another one. nyuszika7h (talk) 13:17, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Nyuszika7H: I think we're stuck here, with how Netflix categorizes this. I'd stick with calling the Feb. episode "season 4", even though it's only one episode, and the new episodes (which I hope to get to myself in the next few days) "season 5". --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:19, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Based on this discussion, and how Netflix categorizes this, I am going to go ahead and change the section headings in the article from "Season" to "Part". Yes, this is relatively non-standard for a TV series article, but how Netlfix handles/releases this series is relatively non-standard. For example, a one-episode "season" (Part 4) is essentially nonsensical. So calling the divisions "Parts" rather than "Seasons" in the case of this series makes significantly more sense. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:42, 16 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Did you know? edit

Did you know that MGA Entertainment announced the Project Mc² line for boys and girls in 2015? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:241:200:5F55:4D17:FEC1:B1D2:9585 (talk) 18:55, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

More Pictures edit

I think we need to add more pictures, because just the logo does not seem enough. Also, they created a line of toys inspired by Project Mc2, but yet again, no picture for that. Or any of the actors or scenes from episodes. So if anyone would be kind enough, please do.--TheWikiSearcher (talk) 01:07, 20 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
