The title "Privacy Act, 1983" is inconsistent with the titles of other Federal privacy legislation such as the Access to Information Act. I concur. The article should properly be at Privacy Act (Canada). Looking at Talk:Privacy Act (Canada), it appears that in 2006, it was me who moved it to that title. Then in 2012, user NorthernThunder did an unconventional manoeuvre, copying and pasting the text to a new article with a different title; see the following edits (which I intend to undo):

No. Legislation is not cited that way in Canada unless the year is part of the title. For example, the Postal Service Continuation Act, 1997 ([1]) has "1997" in its short title. But that is unusual. Look at any Federal Court decision that interprets the Privacy Act ([2]). They always refer to it just like that, as the Privacy Act. Mathew5000 (talk) 12:56, 12 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
