COI tag (September 2022) edit

The infobox photo was added by an ID (User:Mainakchatterjee.tech) claiming to be a Digital Marketing Agency founder from Kolkata. RPSkokie (talk) 04:13, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wrongly attributing me with COI tag without any evidence, and also tagging my profession and profile description is wrong and goes against the terms of Wikipedia. Mainakchatterjee.tech (talk) 05:47, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Mainakchatterjee.tech On-wiki evidence; Your user page contains references to your occupation, profile description, and city. RPSkokie (talk) 06:21, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes I am an owner of of IT firm and an digital marketing agency. I am happy to mention that in my profile. My mission is to make the information available in Wikipedia more accurate and more readable as I already stated that in profile. How can you relate my name without any evidence with COI. Neither I have any connection with any of the pages I edit. Any edits I do is an endeavor from my end to make the information available in Wikipedia more accurate and more readable. Hope you understand thanks. Moreover please do not add COI tag to this wiki page, until the discussion in talk page is over. Mainakchatterjee.tech (talk) 06:38, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please refer to the following link for ongoing discussion User_talk:Mainakchatterjee.tech#Managing_a_conflict_of_interest. RPSkokie (talk) 06:57, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank for your reply I would also clear my statements once again, Any edits I do is an endeavor from my end to make the information available in Wikipedia more accurate and more readable. Neither I have any connection with any of the pages I edit. I further confirm there is never any paid contribution for my edits. All the edits I do is from the best of my knowledge. Thanks Mainakchatterjee.tech (talk) 07:08, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Your explanation does not convince me. Because of this, I ask you to refrain from making any direct edits to these two pages, which are about Priti Adani and Karan Adani. However, you are welcome to suggest or request an edit either on the talk pages of the affected pages or at the WP:TEA. (Reposting this comment here as the "User_talk:Mainakchatterjee.tech#Managing_a_conflict_of_interest" is put into the archive by @Mainakchatterjee.tech on 19 September 2022). I had removed the image added by the COI accused user, and added another image from Flickr. I also removed the tags which were added, the COI and the Paid editing tags. As the subject is very known and notable, tags weren't looking good. Thanks Yasal Shahid (talk) 14:18, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I still completely believe the COI tag is not justified as the image I contributed is to make the information available in Wikipedia more accurate and more readable and has nothing to do with my personal career. Without any evidence please reframe from changing image. Thanks Mainakchatterjee.tech (talk) 15:26, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Mainakchatterjee.tech Brother, are you being mad? I'm not defaming you, you're accused for paid editing and it's not confirmed anywhere that you're a paid editor, if it's confirmed then you'll be block and you can't do anything. So i ask you please don't be a child in Wikipedia as you're such an experienced user. Yasal Shahid (talk) 18:34, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Doing this type of work is not good in Wikipedia, you're accused to be a paid editor and you returns to Wikipedia after a while and not a regular user. Please don't Vandalise Wikipedia. I hope you understand. Yasal Shahid (talk) 18:38, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you can see the history of page you can check when you updated the image, you can see what RPSkokie had written, "Added and tags: The infobox photo was added by an ID (User:Mainakchatterjee.tech) claiming to be a Digital Marketing Agency founder from Kolkata." You also Undid his edits many times and again undid my edits without any reason disclosed. Yasal Shahid (talk) 18:40, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
We expect transparency from each editor, including you and i kindly request that you refrain from breaking the rules. Instead of committing vandalism, Please help the Wikipedia community by adding accurate information. Thanks Yasal Shahid (talk) 18:54, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I expect you not to remove my added image. Until the discussion in this forum is over and other experienced editor shares their view. Moreover I expect you to behave properly and respect the platform. Thanks Mainakchatterjee.tech (talk) 05:11, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Mainakchatterjee.tech You added yourself as the copyright holder, means you clicked the picture. And here if you click picture yourself and uploads to Wikipedia articles then it's paid editing for sure. Yasal Shahid (talk) 05:48, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I again expect you to respect the platform and share your views in a more logical manner. Please reframe from removing my added image. Other Admins are also observing the page. So based on discussions on other senior users in Wikipedia decisions will be taken. Until then please stop removing the image or make any unnecessary changes. My contributed image fulfills every standard of Wikipedia infobox photo. Thanks Mainakchatterjee.tech (talk) 07:04, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Mainakchatterjee.tech: Please don't remove the COI tags while the discussion is ongoing. They're important to highlight this article to other users who might come and assess the situation themselves.
@Yasal Shahid: @RPSkokie: Is there any direct evidence that Mainakchatterjee.tech has a COI or is paid? Their job on their profile doesn't necessarily mean their editing is a result of paid marketing. Are there any direct diffs or edits that indicate this user is paid? Also to address this: And here if you click picture yourself and uploads to Wikipedia articles then it's paid editing for sure. this isn't necessarily true. Anyone can take a picture and upload it to Wikipedia - that doesn't mean it's paid. — Czello (music) 08:10, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sorry if i did any mistake, but i called them 'accused paid editor'. RPSkokie added tags just after Mainakchatterjee.tech added image. May be I'm wrong, i just repeated what the senior user stated. I also quoted their reason for adding Tags. If he isn't a paid editor and there's no COI then i think the tags should be removed. However you seniors editor knows and understands more than me. Thanks Yasal Shahid (talk) 08:27, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I think it'll be dependent on RPSkokie's view, then. If there's no further evidence (or if the WP:COIN report doesn't yield results) then we can put this behind us. — Czello (music) 08:31, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@RPSkokie haven't replied yet. Its about ten days. Please explain why did you added Paid tag? Thanks Yasal Shahid (talk) 09:59, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
