Lage

I am not really sure that the description as de facto PM in the Guardian warrants inclusion here. It is just one quote, and doesn't really reflect reality - he doesn't have enough power for that. (Closer analogy would be finance minister or (in England) Chancellor of the Exchequer.) -- Beardo 23:03, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

I spotted it and thought it worth a mention. It is relevant to Lage's page - but perhaps not here and maybe you're right. Secretary of the council of ministers is a rather strange role - but remember that the Chancellor of the Exchequer is traditionally the deputy Prime Minister in Britain (forget the role created for Prescott). --Zleitzen 23:08, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Britain is different because the head of state is separate, and has their own system of succession - though there have been eight deputy prime ministers since 1942. -- Beardo 23:23, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
