Talk:Preface

Latest comment: 3 years ago by S.vecchiato in topic 'Proem' redirects here?

I just switched out "mete" for "meet" in 1st paragraph but looking up both words in OED find that although both are correct "meet" is more common now. I grew up back when the KJV dominated so "mete" was preferred spelling. Will not switch back because I'm curious to see how long it takes for anyone to notice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.77.217.125 (talk) 01:57, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Article split edit

I've split this article into two in order to separate book preface from the liturgic use of the term. See Preface (Liturgy). Hendrik Fuß 07:56, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

'Proem' redirects here? edit

The proem found in epic poetry should have its own page, really. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.222.221.35 (talk) 16:19, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
