- There multiple things wrong with your edit, but the most straightforward are that you changed an accurate and neutral statement into an argumentative one, and that the statement is in the lead (where it should summarize the content in the body) but your version is not a summary of anything in the body. --JBL (talk) 23:17, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- Silver coinage was debased during the twentieth century from around 90% silver to zero percent. That is an indisputable fact. The article seems a bit whitewashed, having not so much as a single mention of currency debasement, which has occurred many times throughout history, or the historical role of precious metals.
