This source (pdf) clears up the confusion on what exactyl the displacement of hte X-1800 was. It was both tghe XH-2240 and the XH-2600, which explains the confusion between sources. I don't know if the source is reliable bby WP standards, but it was part of a convetion presentation found at http://www.enginehistory.org/. - BilCat (talk) 10:10, 2 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The X1800 was built under license from Napier, UK. The Napier H24 was run in Jan '38, but took another 5 years to become mature. Napier transferred production to their Canadian plant.
