I'm not sure about the 'every suburb in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch has its own postcode'... for example 8022 in Christchurch covers Cracroft, Cashmere (and Central Cashmere), St Martins, Opawa, Heathcote and Ferrymead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.124.104.192 (talk) 02:55, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Number of postcodes wrong?!?! edit
The article says that there are 1850 postcodes, but the referenced dataset at http://www.noodles.net.nz/postcodes/ contains only 359 postcodes?? I'm confused!! Which is the correct number? Is Wikipedia wrong, or is the referenced dataset so severely incomplete as to be missing over 80% of all known postcodes? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.210.5.223 (talk) 20:00, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
The requirement that there be no space between the "R" and "D" of "RD", and the "P" and "O" of "PO", was introduced with the new postcodes as part of an amended standard and therefore should be mentioned elsewhere than the "Previous system" section.
