Untitled edit

Please do not remove the edits dealing with Post Toasties being discontinued in 2006. This information has been verified by Post via email and also by a personal phone call to the Post consumer help line.

The production of Toasties ceased in April of 2006 but it took until January of 2007 in most states before the last boxes finally left store shelves. This is what causes some confusion since the time from the of end of production to actual unavailability at the local supermarket was quite large and unfortunatley too late for people to realize that the cereal was no longer being produced. That is not an acceptable standard for verifiable source, IMO. Until such time as there is some public announcement, it should not be listed as discontinued. olderwiser 01:15, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup edit

Just made a number of edits to this:

  • Removal of empty infobox: The image posted was deleted long ago for improper usage, leaving random words in bold face floating within the article.
  • Unreliable template added: Two of the three cited sources appear to be fansites with no demonstrated verifiablity
  • Linkrot template added: All three citations are raw urls with no date/author/publication date verifying if or when these sites might have been relevant or reliable
  • Third cite removed entirely: This link, despite the title given to it by the editor who added it, is to a page listing all cereals currently manufactured by Post. "Post Toasties" is not among them. There is zero information on this page regarding "Post Toasties", and it does not and can not support the claims made for it.
  • Fact template added: With the removal of the dubious/falsified/invalid ref to the Post website, the statement that the cereal was "discontinued" and "re-introduced" remains, as stated elsewhere on this talk page, unverified hearsay and requires a valid, verifiable source citation.

If you don't understand what a valid cite looks like or how to determine if a source is acceptable, please use the link on the edit page. 12.233.146.130 (talk) 02:34, 19 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
