Fake Information edit

There is not a song called "Sir-Money-By-Lot" that was the b-side to this track. Please correct this information! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.177.24.74 (talk) 20:53, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Untitled edit

Is it worth mentioning that Mix himself released a 'sequel' of sorts to this song, 'Man U Luv Ta Hate' on 1996's Return of the Bumpasaurus? It has similar music, starts with the lines "Me and Kid Sensation in that home away from home/In the fat-butt dually with the painted out chrome" and has many other lyrics reminiscent of Posse on Broadway. If anyone agrees, feel free to add it in. BrianAshe (talk) 20:13, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The college is not Seattle University edit

It's actually Seattle Central Community College which is just three blocks north. Both schools would be consistent with the path of the song, but in the music video, it is clearly Seattle Central. Here are some comparison photos that I've made to prove it:

This first image shows that the sculpture behind the girls is the Wind Cradle at Seattle Central. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/2815/69278308.jpg

A few seconds later in the video, we see Sir Mix-a-Lot with Seattle Central in the background. The view is faint, but when compared to the clearer image on the left, it is evident that both images show the same place. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/9745/sccc.jpg

The song is a tribute to Seattle by a native-born rapper edit

There has been attempted "corrections" citing that Mix-A-Lot was rapping about another town, Tempe, Arizona. While Mix confirmed that he chose "Broadway" to appeal to a wide audience (most towns larger towns in the US have a "Broadway") he is rapping about his hometown, as the other landmarks in the lyrics (and citations to this page) attest.
