Talk:Pornification

Why should this be its own article? edit

I'm really not seeing why this should be its own article instead of merged with the Pornography or Sexualization article. Sure, when citing WP:NEO, one can argue that it's a notable neologism, but one can also argue that, per WP:No page, that doesn't mean it needs its own article. This reads like a poorly written high school essay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.108.175.194 (talk) 06:46, 22 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Agreed that this article should be merged, per Flyer22 Reborn. -Crossroads- (talk) 04:11, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Could someone please make this article better? Thanks, 184.19.98.82 (talk) 21:04, 22 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Reverse current redirect edit

"Pornographication" is not the correct term for the topic, which is pornification: the mainstreaming of porn.

Currently pornification redirects here, but it should be the other way. --WriterArtistDC (talk) 18:31, 27 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup after move edit

The entire "History" section can be deleted, since it is a history of porn, not pornification, which is a 21st century concept.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 19:00, 27 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Removed history, which contained the OR and lack of focus, so also removed maintenance tags.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 23:00, 27 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Removed content not related to cited source edit

Content that I had previously deleted as trivial and unsourced has been restored, with the addition of a citation that has nothing to do with the content, so I have again removed it. The new reference is about opposition to actual porn, not the pornification of mainstream culture.

I am sure there are sources that could be used to support content on the Evangelical viewpoint on pornification, but that would require thought. WriterArtistDC (talk) 02:23, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
