Talk:Pop Life (Prince song)

Two things, I remember the extende mix of this song having Wendy and Lisa humming "Frère Jacques" in it. Also, on "Hello," Prince imitates a British press agent speaking; this may be a slam against the British press. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chumley41 (talkcontribs) 18:21, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also the most notorious fact about this track is the sound of the crowd booing during the break and in the onset. It is actually a recording that Prince had of the audience that booed him (and the band--most of which was still with him at the point of this songs release) off the stage (it has been stated that this audience even hurled things at Prince) when he opened for The Rolling Stones before he reached superstardom. This was widely reported after the release of Pop Life. The signifficance of this was great since Prince had basically managed to turn many of his critics into fans on some level. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.217.235.105 (talk) 15:06, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

That would indeed be interesting, and possibly even notorious, if it were true. But it's not. Sorry. Lianachan (talk) 19:57, 15 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I don't think that Sheila played any drums here. It's all LinnDrumm. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.16.156.182 (talk) 05:21, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

This song sounds so good that when I first heard it, I thought it was by Phil Collins. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrakd002.302 (talkcontribs) 15:31, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
