Transportation in the Building edit
Removed this section. It needed a fair amount of editing, was located in the wrong place at the very bottom of the article, and did not present any new or fresh information. The elevator / transportation arrangements in most high-rise buildings would be the same -- this information was not notable. SabreWolfy 21:55, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Tallest Residential Building in the Southern Hemisphere? edit
I don't think so. Not according to this article -> Click!.

Not Strydom Tower? edit
The Hillbrow Tower was originally named the Strydom (or JG Strijdom) Tower. I don't recall the Ponte Building bearing this name 139.163.138.12 (talk) 08:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- I recall being told the building was originally to have been called Harrow Heights. The story goes that Portuguese construction workers (Only Europeans workers were allowed in construction back then) referred to their workplace as being near the "bridge" - ponte. I cannot find any verification for this, so I'll leave it here in the Discussion section in case someone else can source it.213.173.165.130 (talk) 13:26, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Hillbrow? edit

Potential vandalism edit
This page is being constantly vandalised by user NathanDeRidder. Parts of the article about its decay in 1980s (that's why it covered by press) are being removed. Instead many paragraphs are inserted into the header, all of which sound like an advertisement e.g."Ponte City dominates the Johannesburg skyline". This user only made edits to this article and keeps on reverting to his version. --Lukaszsw (talk) 14:54, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
