C Major triad ending as a musical joke. edit

I love Penderecki's early music as he is one of the few avant garde composers that seems to have a sense of tune and does not just come across as trying to be clever for the sake of being clever, which is probably why his music is so popular in horror movies like "the Shining" where it just works. But while polymorphia may have been based on that C major triad in a process of composing the piece backwards, the effect comes across as a musical joke, accessable as it is, it still comes across as highly avant garde when wham, he hits you with the ending as if he'd just done a "normal" composition. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like that on hearing it but I wouldn't know if commentators have said this. I'm sure it's worth mentioning if not "original research." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.241.30 (talk) 16:09, 1 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
