Very surprising mistake I am here because I watched the film with my kids last night. Although I did not have high expectations for history accuracy and the film was indeed more fiction than history, I was amazed to see the Union Jack on the English ships in at least 2 scenes. The version of the flag they chose in Disney was the current one, with all 3 crosses. As I remember, under the Stuarts' union of the crowns the kingdoms were only ruled by the same king and there was no UK nor Union Jack. Even when the flag was finally adopted in the following century, it was the naval version that was displayed on ships. Also, depicting King James the 6th and 1st as a dumb despot was unexpected from an American film. I am not exactly a westerner myself (my people were banned from England until the 1650's), but I thought he enjoyed good reputation in the west for his contribution to Christianity. Wasn't he the scholar king? What am I missing? 192.55.54.42 (talk) 16:59, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Powhatan's voice edit

Whoever was doing the voice of Powhatan, couldn't have been Russell Means. I can tell different voices, basically, in a heartbeat, and I truly do believe Powhatan was voiced by Jim Cummings for this movie. -- 173.76.123.202 (talk) 15:42, 17 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect release date edit

The release date for the sequel is inaccurate. According to promo pins, posters and trailers for the film, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World was released direct to video on August 25th, not August 4th, of 1998. Could somebody possibly revise this?
