2018 Winter Olympics edit

He's just carried the Tonga flag in the same outfit he wore in Rio. Should wait until news coverage becomes available online before mentioning it in main article.CALDlykLIJ (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:26, 9 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

First Person in Three Consecutive Olympic Games edit

This is mentioned for Pita Taufatofua: "He did, however, make history as the first person to have competed in three consecutive Olympic Games since the introduction of the Winter Olympics in 1924."

However, when I go through the page of List of athletes who competed in both the Summer and Winter Olympic games, I see other athletes, who have competed in three and more consecutive olympic games.

For instance; András Haklits competed in 2008, 2010 and 2012 olympic games and Jaqueline Mourão competed in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 olympic games.

Am I missing something? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Engin75 (talkcontribs) 14:37, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Removed. A poor research by the source. (CC) Tbhotch 18:42, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

First Olympian to attend three different olympic games for three different sports edit

I also have a problem with this sentence: "He nearly became the first Olympian to attend three different Olympic Games for three different sports"

Philippe Van Volckxsom competed in ice hockey at the 1920 olympic games and 1924 winter olympic games, speed skating at the 1924 winter olympic games and rowing at the 1928 summer olympic games. This makes him the first athlete to attend three different olympic games for three different sports.

Georgia Simmerling competed in alpine skiing at the 2010 olympic games, freestyle skiing at the 2014 olympic games and cycling at the 2016 and 2020 olympic games. This makes her the first female athlete to attend three different olympic games for three different sports. It is also stated in her article as follows: "Simmerling ... is the first Canadian to compete in three different sports in three different Olympic Games."

There are also a few other athletes to attend three different olympic games for three different sports. It can be seen from the List of athletes who competed in both the Summer and Winter Olympic games and crosschecked from the respective athletes' profiles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Engin75 (talkcontribs) 08:24, 2 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
