References edit

These were dumped in after the reflist. Someone should check if they're useful and if so integrate them into the article. I'm copying them over verbatim. Okay, update, I'm removing the ones that it turns out are just repeating references that are already on the article and got fixed there, so that this is hopefully easier for someone to read and use:

  • BRITISH NEW GUINEA. ANNUAL REPORT BY Page 25 -26 HER MAJESTY'S ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT,1ST JULY, 1890, TO 30TH JUNE, 1891; WITH APPENDICES AND l\1:APS. PRESENTED TO BOTH HOUSES o:E' PARLIAMENT BY HIS EXCELLENCY'S CO:&t:M.il."D. No. 58.-
  • (The Melanesians of British New Guinea, Seligmann, C.G. with F.R. Barton and E.L. Giblin)
  • Tamate, a king: James Chalmers in New Guinea, Dianne Langmore, 1877-1901
  • Andrew Goldie: the experiences of Empire (Mullins & Bellamy), pg26 (Memoirs of the Queensland Museum)
  • CONFEDERATION AND ANNEXATION. NEW GUINEA. (PAPERS RELATING TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION BY QUEENSLAND, AND GENERALLY AS TO THE ACTION OF THE IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT.)

Appendix to the Journals of the House of Representatives, 1884 Session II, A-03b

There were also these URLs listed in the "External Links" section. They look like specific items that could be useful for inline citations, rather than something that would be helpful in External Links, so I'm putting them here for someone to do that. I checked the USC links; they don't work, but it's probably possible to figure out where the material has gone.

And these footnotes were orphaned at the bottom of the page. I don't think they're likely to be useful but with the article in its current state I can't say that for sure.[1][2] -- asilvering (talk) 20:43, 16 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
DOIs for those broken USC links (they're photographs taken by the missionary William George Lawes:

http://doi.org/10.25549/impa-m910
They're part of the International Mission Photography Archive ca 1860-1960. No DOI on that. They're originally from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), which might have some more interesting ones. asilvering (talk) 01:06, 19 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
