Nomenclature - There is no definition of a village that would include Petty. Historically it was and is a PARISH. The only named settlements entirely within the parish of Petty take their names from what were once fermtouns, with the possible exception of the developing housing area named by the developers now unhisyprically known as Tornagrain, which is mostly the best part of a mile away from the historic settlements of Tornagrain, which are themselves separated by about not quite half a mile of hill - only the current site by the A96 is still inhabited. 2A00:23C7:5A0B:8601:6C91:939C:D3A4:3F96 (talk) 15:51, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
