Having noticed that this article is almost entirely unreferenced, I did a little searching. I have established that it is largely an unacknowledged rewrite from an original article written by the subject. That article may be found at https://www.nuts.org.uk/trackstats/peterwells.htm. I considered nominating the article for deletion, however, Wells is entitled to an article under WP:NOLYMPICS. I can only suggest that most of the article be deleted or hidden until neutral secondary sources can be added. Thoughts? WWGB (talk) 05:22, 13 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
I have provided all of the content in this article based on family memorabilia, newspaper clippings, and recorded interviews with the subject. I am new to Wikipedia, and was spurred into action by a short terminal illness suffered by my father Peter Wells. I have had a steep learning curve understanding the Wikipedia requirements and have been able to provide (subsequently) substantial secondardary and neutral sources. I appreciate the work of the editors to adhere to standards, and pointing me in the right direction, although it is not always clear to me where I have erred. I think the article is in good shape now. I am still trawling for some secondary sources, and have tried to adjust the tone as well. I have removed the templates relating to sources, and to tone. I hope that is appropriate. --Ceebeewnz (talk) 09:54, 18 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
