World War II service edit

During the war DePaolo was a U.S. Army officer (perhaps a full colonel) serving as a military attache' in Geneva. Very little online information seems available. See Davidson and Shaffer, "Autocourse Official History of the Indianapolis 500," Motorbooks, 2006, p. 104. Also C.E. Anderson, "To Fly and Fight: Memoirs of a Triple Ace." Pacifica Press, 1990, p. 165.

A book source in fine to use. Some people even think it's better than online sources. I'm wondering how relevant his service is to a race driver and car owner. I think a few sentences up to a paragraph is appropriate when you're describing his background. Royalbroil 01:26, 16 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
