Break into 2 articles edit

  • I think the events held at Chicago Motor Speedway should be mentioned but results and such should be contained in a seperate article since the Chicago/Target Grand Prix didn't have any relation to the races held at Chicagoland Speedway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Baloras (talkcontribs) 15:02, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • When making the decisions on how to handle these sorts of "two different races in the same city" histories, there was a loose consensus that when we have a past race that no longer exists, it's history can be merged into the race that exists today, even if it took place on a different track, as long as it's made clear that there are differences. I'm not sure a whole page just for the very short history of the Chicago M.S. race is worth it. Doctorindy (talk) 13:13, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
      • The races really have nothing at all to do with each other, running under different sanctions at different types of tracks which were miles and miles apart, this connection on Wikipedia may confuse the average reader. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.144.163.181 (talk) 01:59, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
        • Yeah, this is REALLY weird... there were 2 different tracks hosting races at the same time. This needs to be broken into 2 different articles. Greg Salter (talk) 06:56, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
