Upcoming Pathfinder film from Marcus Nispel edit

Loosely based on the Pathfinder J.F. Cooper books, and moreso on the comic-book spinoff, but also on Ofelas, a 1987 Norwegian film about Vikings raiding the Sami (Lapp) in Nord-Norge. I can't tell you much about it - I'm on background cast in it and had to sign a non-disclosure agreement; what I can tell you is we got to see the rushes/videoviews and it looks amazing (DoP is Daniel Pearl); Viking characters will be speaking in Old Norse. I saw the disambiguation list and thought I'd better throw this in; if someone wants to check out IMDB and whatever else there is about this film on the net (release somewhere between summer '06 and summer '07, feel free to write an article. Cast: Jay Tavare, Nathaniel Arcand, Moon Bloodgood, Clancy Brown, Russell Means, , Ralf Moeller, Karl Urban (and yours truly (third viking from the left, with two horns pointing down/forward and a really sharp (as in "cuts you up if you don't watch it") nosepiece, wielding a flail).Skookum1 06:48, 26 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Where are these "true explots of Olaf Tomsson and his group of Norsemen who reached the area that is now Vermont in 950 and destroyed a group of local Algonquian Indians" documented, and why does he have a non nordic patronym?-130.208.165.5 21:37, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Tomsson's perfectly Nordic, especially in Iceland where first names are a much broader palette than they are in mainland Scandinavia; I'd venture that it's a contraction of Tomi+son, or Tomas+son (don't forget many Icelanders have Irish and other ancestors as well as Norwegian-Danish!). As for Olaf Tomsson and hie "true exploits", Farley Mowat mentions him in West-Viking but doesn't pin him to Vermont as the contributor who put that in did. The film, in any case, is NOT based on the Tomsson expedition but on a) the Pathfinder books by James Fenimore Cooper and b) the Norwegian film on the Norse vs. the Sami. I know, because I was on set and got all the poop directly.Skookum1 21:46, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Links... edit

I am removing the Pricing game link, as it leads to an article that is, shall we say, has has nothing to do with Pathfinder, and is generally not what people are looking for, and is not something people even need to find.

Huh? You just removed it from the Squeeze play dab page. I'm not understanding your actions. --Cyde Weys 22:35, 19 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
It's a disambig! You don't delete things from disambigs because you don't think that people will want them; the whole point of a disambig is to show all the meanings of something! Who are you to decide what articles people will want to find? --Rory096 22:42, 19 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Watch edit

What happened to the watch called Pathfinder from Casio? Surely you can place a link here. Or start an article, seeing as there is none on it.-Dragonryth, 12:37 11-1-06 PST

In Fiction edit

Amending the In Fiction, Star Trek entry, I've done some digging and have amended the article itself. User:Kt'Hyla 06/11/21
