First clash between broadcasting career and political career edit

"Cox stood as a Fianna Fáil candidate at the 1979 local elections. He left the programme to become a political candidate."

The context implies that the programme was Today Tonight, but as the article on that programme says, it "was broadcast on RTÉ One for the first time on Monday 6 October 1980". Clearly there is a mistake somewhere. Harfarhs (talk) 16:46, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
