Assessment edit

This article (particularly ==Training==) is just a little weak on the references. This may be the best we can do at this time, but I'd be happy to see a few more sources if they're available. WhatamIdoing (talk) 06:20, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Part of the problem is that the information on training was poorly organized. I was attempting to follow the format of the original editor and preserve their content, but the material on training was in several locations. It has now been grouped together with appropriate subheadings. The section on Training actually contains a total of six separate references, once it is put together in proper format. I'd like to see more sources as well, but I have made an exhaustive search for English language content, and this is all that is really available. There may be more material available in German that either WinnieMD or Sebastian Scha. may wish to add references for, but I can't read it all that well, and I suspect that it wouldn't be of much help to most English Wikipedia users. Done. At least as far as it makes sense. Added "Notfallsanitäter", the new professional law, effective since January 2015. --217.87.223.184 (talk) 15:33, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

The article is very biased. It should provide information on the role and scope of practice of paramedics in German. Instead of this, the article starts out with explaining the role of the German Notarzt (ambulance physician). The role of the German paramedic is quite closely linked with the development of the voluntary aid organisations like the Red Cross Movement, the St.Johns Ambulance Corps as well as other Volunteer Ambulances Corps and their staff.

Room should be given to the historic development of this profession in particular. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Transmedix (talkcontribs) 22:01, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Update: Notfallsanitäter and general article rewrite edit

Since 2015, the new german paramedic occupation "Notfallsanitäter" is in effect. I added this to the article, taking the opportunity to structure the article in whole, adding some work opportunities and a section about pay. The history section was stripped to a more occupation related history, the general EMS history was added to Emergency_medical_services_in_Germany. Now, I consider this article accurate information up to date. :) Still, some grammar problems may exist... --217.87.223.184 (talk) 11:29, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Reference links to RettAssG repaired, they were valid few days ago. But obviously just coincidental to my update above, official sources don't offer the law source text anymore, since it ceased end of 2014. Do they read wikipedia??? :) --217.87.223.184 (talk) 14:17, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Picture edit

I don't like the illustrating picture at the moment. It's not showing a good patient care: both medics sit by the patient and do anything else than paying attention to him. Hope it's just a mock up. :) If someone can provide a better picture, that would be fine! I will try to stage one, but may take a while. --84.175.93.231 (talk) 12:18, 5 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
