I would suggest holding off merging these two. There is a lot that can be said about Panel Data Analysis, e.g. various techniques. Each technique could eventually warrant its own separate page, in fact. There is also a lot that could be said about the data itself, such as collection techniques, representation structures, issues concerning balanced and unbalanced panels, etc. I would say that it is not yet clear which way this should go and that it would be best to wait until both of these articles are filled out more. Just because no one has added information here yet does not mean there is not enough information to warrant separate pages. (Econotechie (talk) 23:20, 4 April 2008 (UTC))Reply

weird phrasing in intro paragraph

edit

I don't know enough about this topic to fix it, but the following phrasing in the intro paragraph seems nonsensical: "(in and by the - cross sectional/times series time)". Requesting assistance. Proxyma (talk) 19:14, 25 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Move section as there is no opposition in more than a year. Felix QW (talk) 15:03, 10 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Instrumental variables estimation, a currently somewhat sprawling and unorganized article, contains a section (originally merged from Random and fixed effects instrumental variables methods) about instrumental variables in panel analysis. The description there is terse, specialized to the static linear panel model, and unrelated to the rest of the article. At least here it can be put in some context.
