Untitled edit

I believe this article misrepresents the temporary shutdown of the Buffalo Poetics List site in 1999. The list was not simply shut down due to "overposting" by a contributor (Henry Gould - ie., myself). The list was shut down after a rancorous debate involving insults and personal attacks on the list owners and other people; there were a number of different issues and persons involved; I was not the initiator, the cause, nor the sole participant of this fracas.

In conclusion I don't think this particular statement about the history of the Poetics List represents a neutral point of view. I realize also that I'm not an objective observer myself, & my views would need further corroboration.

I agree with above. In addition, I don't see why the Poetics list is notable. I recommend it be combined with other related articles instead of standing alone. All of the cited references come from the list site itself. Probably does not warrant an article by itself. Accuracy primo (talk) 19:34, 23 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Needs to be merged with University of Buffalo article edit

This article is highly biased and uses no outside references for the info. It is probably written by the list gatekeepers, who are not notable. This list is not noteworthy because it is solely exclusive to the university and those who run it and not open to the general public. In addition, the posts are edited by one person, so the discussion becomes even less relevant and noteworthy for inclusion as a separate article in an encyclopedia because it is a closed list. Really needs to be moved to U of Buffalo article. It had some distinct relevance in the past at its start, but it is currently closed, censored, and edited and rather irrelevent in today's open blog culture. Visited site and appears to be limited to U of Buffalo only and closed. all references point back to site itself, no outside references. recommend this article info be merged with article about University at Buffalo, The State University of New York|University at Buffalo Accuracy primo (talk) 19:47, 23 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fully agree with above, either delete article or move to University of Buffalo as a smaller section. --Bridgecross (talk) 19:29, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
