Nature of protagonist abilities

In episode 1, Owlette says "owl eyes" when using some kind of infravision to see in the dark, and also appears capable of limited flight or at least gliding (no catch phrase used). Gekko is also to break apart steel robot arms while shouting "super gecko musles" and to adhere to the walls saying "super lizard grip". Not sure what Catboy can do yet. Is it clarified later on whether these are tech/suit based abilities or a power they inherently posses and could use out of costume?

I noticed the summary claims this:

they activate their bracelets, which link into their pajamas and give them fantastic super powers

While they certainly do use bracelets to change into their costumes, watching episode 1 I did not see anything to indicate that this necessarily is their power source. What if it is just armor and disguise but not how they get powers?

Is there any dialogue in the show or external descriptions which tells us this for sure? What is the source for the above-quoted claim? 184.145.18.50 (talk) 07:45, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Order and leader

Is there a basis for the current order of Connor/Greg/Amaya? Is this because of Catboy/Gekko/Owlette alphaetically?

I would like to know if anyone who has seen more episodes knows if there has ever been a reference to a group leader. Like if there had to be a 'main' PJ Mask who gets more focus than the other, who that would be.

Initially I assumed Connor/Catboy due to blue reminding me of Leonardo from TMNT, but in trying to look at things neutrally, it seems like it might be Amaya/Owelette:

• she is the first introduced by the narrator in the transformation sequence
• the tower of their masks piled up has her on top
• she stands in the center, slightly ahead of the other two, when they arrived in the tower

Owlete does not stand in the center, Catboy does.

Any other indicators? Obviously hints like this wouldn't qualify us to discuss her as leader in the page itself so I'm wondering if more specific references in dialogue or descriptions do. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 11:14, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

I added a cite for "Catboy and the Shrinker" since he insists "I can still be your leader". Of course this doesn't necessarily mean he's ALWAYS the leader. They were driving the Cat Car this episode and whoever is driving their respective vehicle sits in front, so it may well be that whoever is driving the vehicle is the leader for that particular mission. Chronology

In episode 3a "Gekko and the Ninjalinos" Owlette comments "I recognize those voices" when hearing the Ninjalinos. This indicates the PJ Masks have encountered Night Ninja before. Is this first meeting depicted in a later episode, possibly? I don't think that they are released in chronological order because if you look at Wacky Floats/Romeo's Disguise and PJ robot/PJ power up you will see that these episodes aren't released in chronological order SunShim (talk) 22:27, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Re-arming of villains

At the end of 'Owlette and the Moonball' after the Masks pop the giant Luna Ball and Luna Girl is upset, they give her a soccer ball and she goes off and plays with it. She actually leaves the Luna Magnet behind. This is a device she uses in every appearance to try and steal things from the city, to enslave butterflies, to attack the heroes, etc. Yet when Owlette discovers it, she simply leaves it out and say something like "I'll leave it here for her to come get later".

Does something like this occur in any other episodes? It seems strange for the heroes to go out of their way to give a weapon back to a villain who has a habit of using it to commit crimes. Do they want it the crimes to continue so they have a job? Or could Owlette be thinking that a show of good faith like that might cause Luna Girl to reform? If the episodes happen in chronological order then that clearly didn't work since she keeps doing crimes with the Luna Magnet in other episodes.

That's weird I agree, why do they return the Luna Magnet to Luna Girl? The closest thing to re-arming Romeo is the fact that they helped Romeo get his lab back after it went haywire SunShim (talk) 15:23, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

Hero Revelations

I noticed these separated at the bottom of the short summaries. Where does this phase come from? Are these revelations spoken in the show? They do seem to resemble the moral lessons present in the show but it seems like OR to present them like this, as if they're in some kind of official capacity, without a source to back it up. If the producers do in fact specifically spell out these revelations that would be fine but I think it's going beyond reporting basic facts for us to assume we can interpret the moral lesson intended in an episode if these are in fact just being made up. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 23:55, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

That's a good question, I didn't even notice it. If you see anything like this you're skeptical of, it's good to add {{fact}} to challenge it. Given that it's been brought up for discussion, I'm going to remove it since it seems made-up to me, but will invite the person who introduced the information to come support it. Had to do some digging but it was added September 26 in special:diff/741191015 so @173.52.224.76: come on down. Split proposed

A split tag was added to the Episode section proposing a split to List of PJ Masks episodes.

• Oppose for now. Started this discussion per WP:SILENCE and default presumption of agreement when no opposition stated. Generally an episode article is created when we have information about episodes for the second season. With one season usually best to keep the episode list in the main article. What we would like to see is a second season table started with firm scheduling info about at least the first episode of the second season. After the second season table is created then a split is appropriate. See WP:SPLIT § How to properly split an article for more about prestaging a split. Plot summary improvements

Air dates

As with a lot of kids shows that air in multiple countries, as usual, not all episodes have debuted in the United States and episodes have aired early in France (and Russia with episode 26). The closest I've got to Russia (because of the YouTube video release dates) was December 2016, but if there's anyone to help get the specific French or Russian air dates, that would be appreciative. Elliot Couillard voices the new Motsuki

Bring Owlette description in line with Catboy and Gekko

The Catboy and Gekko texts in section 2.1.1 ("Members") describe what they look like before they change and also their costume and powers after they change, for example: "When he transforms, he wears a blue cat costume. His powers include super speed, super sensitive hearing, and high jump."

Owlette's only gives a description of her before she changes. I suggest we add:

"When she transforms she wears a red owl costume. Her powers include nighttime vision, the ability to fly, and the ability to make a strong gust of wind from her wings."
