Talk:PHP-GTK

Priado Blender is not an installer. It's a kind of compiler. And it is NOT limited to php-gtk. --Vilerage 03:00, 12 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Noted - thanks, correcting (assuming it hasn't already been corrected!)

Priado Blender is not a compiler either. It's a weak encryption layer for php-win.exe and does not produce binary php code like the roadsend compiler
phc-win is the only true open source compiler I know of. It uses bcompiler for the actual bytecode compilation and windows resource embedding to create the exes. I suggest phc-win replace priado blender, though I am the developer of phc-win so I think it best if someone else did the replacement.

Q: What is this AgataReport thing? I think somebody spammed this.

A: It is generally understood as the largest/most significant app built with PHP-GTK1, and as such is a valid reference

Same for GtkSourceView, which isn't an offshot from PHP-GTK, it belongs to elsewhere, somewhere in the area of Gnome or GTK itself or from some established app using those (?). Gedit for one, uses it. Said: Rursus 08:23, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Categories edit

As belonging to the GTK category, which itself is a sub-cat' of Widget toolkits, does this article also need to belong to “Widget toolkits” ?

I think it doesn't. GTK is a Category:Widget toolkits. PHP-GTK "uses" GTK instead of "is a" widget toolkits. Kind of... Said: Rursus 08:20, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
