Is there really enough difference between a cake shop and a patisserie to justify an entire separate article on the subject? I know that part of the problem is that cake shops are not an important part of English culture, but when the Polish Cukiernia site connects to a page about German Konditorei (whatever they may be) it is clear that the subject is a mess. Why are we writing more about French/Belgian bakeries than we are about their English equivalents? Let's combine Patisserie with the cakery/cake shop article (which needs expanding anyway) and scrap the one about Konditorei. I've just completed a translation from Polish into English about this subject and Wikipedia proved to be precisely no help whatsoever. 78.11.154.119 (talk) 01:03, 7 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
“World Cup of Pastry” section completely unrelatededit
The entire section on the “World Cup of Pastry” is, while tangentially related to the main article, not directly a part of explaining the concept of “a shop that sells or specializes in baked goods.” It is akin to including a section explaining the history of the Academy Awards in an article about movie theatres.
The two ideas should be separated into their own articles.
