Difficulty of sinking captured ship edit
The article says that K. was unable to sink a captured ship using torpedoes and that "the weather ruled out use of the gun". Why would the use of the gun be affected by the weather? Presumably the gun could be fired at close range so visibility would not be an issue. A brief explanation would be helpful.Bill (talk) 04:10, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
- Try to imagine operating an unshielded 88m gun on a narrow, slippery metal deck with no guardrails while the Atlantic seas are constantly buffeting the boat from side to side. 2404:4404:147B:E400:F1AF:DD2:343C:1C43 (talk) 06:00, 7 December 2023 (UTC)

Preserving here by providing this link; my rationale was: "Per the Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Military_history/Archive_163#Appropriateness_of_kill_lists_in_submariner_bios discussion, such lists are undue in skippers' bios". --K.e.coffman (talk) 05:35, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
