Oscar Hedstrom became notable as an adult in the United States, where his name did not have an umlaut in it. I propose that the article be moved to the spelling without the umlaut, as he is notable by that spelling and unknown by the original spelling of his name.
After all, no-one has ever heard of Viktor János, Clarence Leonidas Fender, or William Henry Pratt
