General Comments

I'd bet you a case of stubbies (q.v.) that Maggie Groening is class of '79.

During my four years at OES, only about one third of graduates attended Northwest schools -- UofO, Reed, Lewis and Clark, OSU, UW, Evergreen, Whitman and WSU, etc. The other two thirds went farther afield, to mostly competitive schools, and not just Occidental -- Haverford, Brown, NYU, Duke, Princeton, UVA, University of Michigan, Cornell, Williams, Amherst, Oberlin, etc...Of course, I graduated in 93; maybe things have changed?

The statement regarding what schools students most frequently attend wasn't subjective; it was based on matriculation figures from the college counseling department at OES. JTM

The information about the tennis team etc seems kind of needless and not encyclopediac. Perhaps it should be removed (fullerton)

History!

The "oldest Episcopal school west of the Rocky Mountains" (est. 1869) desperately deserves a history section. I'll work on it at some point, but please, anyone, feel free to help out. A good starting place would be here: [1] Ulmanor 19:58, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Notable alumni

I removed the following entry from the alumni section, as it has been there for almost two years without a reference indicating he attended OES.

• Gene Trautmann 1985 - drummer, Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age

You definitely made the right call, but I do find the fact that there's a "Gene Trautmann ’85" listed as a donor in one of the school's annual reports intriguing. [2] I can't find any other source, though. (Except his Wikipedia page, but that's not cited.)

Needs work

Almost half of the references here lead to dead links, and the style is not quite encyclopedic. It looks as if most of the dead links were once active but became inactive after a possible website restructuring, so maybe they have just been moved elsewhere. -waywardhorizons (talk) 18:37, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

Notability

I've added the notability template to this article because there is very little to no significant coverage of this school by verifiable, independent, secondary sources. Notability requires "attention that extends well beyond brief mentions and routine announcements" such as the results of sporting events. I would normally just nominate this for AfD but given the amount of care and effort used to build this article, I wanted editors a chance to research and find any significant coverage of the school from secondary sources.
