Ore ValleyOre, East Sussex – Undo 2010 move by vandal. Article is about the village/suburb, which maps and other sources call "Ore". Certes (talk) 00:47, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Support "Ore Valley" might be the name of the surrounding area but indeed its just "Ore" on OS maps, most Google results seem to show "Ore Valley" as the college or a housing development. Unless the name is preferred by WP:NATURAL or WP:COMMONNAME, WP:WIAN is indeed just "Ore" per OS. I don't see evidence that this move was vandalism though. That move may indeed have been a good faith edit, which why I'm bringing it to RM for third opinions rather than taking it to WP:RMTR. It may or may not be relevant that the editor who moved the article had other UK place moves reverted and was indef blocked as a vandalism-only account the same month. I should add that the proposed title is WP:NATURALDIS to match Battle, East Sussex; Rye, East Sussex; etc. Certes (talk) 12:31, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
OK, I see it was ABCDavis who made the original move and then Dpmuk removed the unnecessary disambiguation. The current title appears to be natural disambiguation while the proposed is comma one. Those like Battle and Rye probably don't have common enough alternatives to satisfy NATURAL so per WP:UKPLACE we comma disambiguate. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:25, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
