Talk:Ora (Rita Ora album)

How do we know the length of the song "Facemelt"? Was it announced anywhere? 75.26.254.185 (talk) 12:12, 29 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

The 'Background and development' section quotes Ora as saying there's 'only going to be one feature' (Tiny Tempeh) but then the track listing shows three, with Will.iam, and J.Cole along with Tempeh, as well as track in which Ora herself is the featured artist. Are the additional featured artists only on the deluxe version or did she simply change her mind? A sentence explaining the final tracklisting would clarify, i.e In the event, the album carried three songs with featured artists.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Isaaczohar (talkcontribs) 09:45, 1 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Radioactive Tour & ORA edit

The Radioactive Tour was done only in UK. Those Australian dates are from Future Music Festival, see here and I couldn't find any info about her Brazilian gig on the "Rock in Rio" official page, so at this point it's unconfirmed. I changed the album's name to "ORA" on every page cause that's how I've seen it written everywhere (iTunes, Amazon, different charts etc). And "Facemelt" (from what I know) was released on 30 April, alongside with the video. I also removed the link for James Fauntleroy (his name is actually James Fauntleroy II) because it lead to Justin Timberlake's page. Izzu11 (talk) 20:51, 12 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I only take issue with changing "Ora" to ORA. The other day, I deliberately changed ORA to Ora because Wikipedia's own Manual of Style insists on lowercasing most uppercase words; in one of my edit summaries, I cited Lady Gaga's album Artpop, which is also uppercased, as an example of why I made those edits; even this article is named Ora and not ORA. How it's written elsewhere online or even on its own album cover is overriden by Manual of Style. Thanks for all your other edits, though, much appreciated by everyone who helps out on Rita Ora-related articles! Acalamari 21:26, 12 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
This is not about Wikipedia's rules or about caps, it's about the fact that ORA is the official spelling. You don't write Iphone, Ipad or Ipod, do you? Also, it helps the reader to make the difference between Rita's surname and the title of her album. I would've changed the name of the article too but I don't know how. Be as it may, the Manual of Style most certainly overrides any official style. The reasons for why Artpop is lowercased apply to this article, seeing as they're in the same class of capitalized album names. If you renamed the article, you would be doing it against Wikipedia naming conventions. Acalamari 22:29, 12 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
