Can somebody please tell me why that man's name is Crap? Please tell me it means something in German or something!--chad. 03:11, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, it means nothing in german...possibly a joke.

Gott ist ein Popstar! controversy edit

Hey I found an article about how the Echo Awards cancelled Oomph's performance of Gott ist ein Popstar because it was inappropiate "in the context of the current, international religious discussion." Here is the full article by Deutsche Welle; German Rock Under Fire for God Song. Do any of you think this should be added on the main Oomph! article or the article for Gott ist ein Popstar? Rik 20:02, 02 Aug 2006 (UTC)

Well, with the events going on in Lebanon, with Israel bombing the shit out of the so-called "Hezbollah hideouts", I can see why OOMPH! was censored. Right now it's the same God the people are fighting for, just different belief mechanisms behind it. It's a big world issue and affects everyone everywhere. If you want you can add that.--John Cho 23:22, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, it should be mentioned in the article. I was waiting for someone to add more content. -Iopq 10:32, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
The only reason I was asking is because the article is from back in March...I was wondering if it would just be bringing back old news (making it irrelevant) or if it is turly useful. Rik 01:03, 3 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

OOMPH!

The German channel "RTL" was responsible for Echo Awards Broadcasting (12. March 2006).RTL lädt Oomph! ausSDL Translation.
However RTL showed Bruce Almighty just 1 or 2 Weeks later (09 April 2006). [1], SDL Translation. See also [2], SDL Translation. RTL true reason was probably cause the Mainstream. --Biontenagent2008 12:13, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Individual Pages or Section for band members edit

I think that individual pages or a devoted section on Dero, Flux and Crap need to be added. They would need to include full(real) name, choice of band name, and a short biography of each member. I might look into this another time. Fizzyfifi 00:01, 12 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's a good idea, but truth be told, there just isn't that much personal information on any of the band members. Despite the fact that they seem to have a pretty open and frequent report with their fans and are active members in their official forum, they're surprisingly hushed about their personal information. I've never even known anyone to be aware of their real names. --Col.clawhammer (talk) 15:51, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

==Discography== edit

The images used in the discography do not qualify as fair use in this article unless this article contains critical commentary about the album cover. As such I have removed them for now. Kevin 06:18, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Industrial/Grindcore edit

I believe, that these guys was in industrial/grind.

I sure hope you're joking. --XClaudiox (talk) 16:02, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

photo edit

current photo is awful. i've uploaded one of promotional photos Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg here, though not completely sure if whole copyright templates stuff is done right, so not replacing the one in the article yet. If there's a fan-made shot of the group that could be added with "author" license - it would be great to add... --Duke B. Garland (talk) 12:00, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

English for "Sex Appeal"? edit

Since when is the band name English for "Sex Appeal"? They have never said this. And as far as I know OOMPH isn't even a word in German and does not translate to anything... --LudwigStreichholz (talk) 02:54, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are correct, it is not German for "Sex Appeal". In fact Dero has repeatedly said that the band name doesn't mean anything it just sounded "aggressive" --dashiellx (talk) 10:57, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Genre edit

"Neue Deutsche Härte" does not exist. Oomph is a band, witch heared in the gothic szene. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.68.102.12 (talk) 22:06, 18 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry you feel that "Neue Deutsche Härte" but it is an agreed upon Genre of which Oomph! is the originator. --dashiellx (talk) 10:59, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Next Studio Album edit

http://www.oomph.de/oomph/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1332183&highlight=#1332183 (Use Google Chrome or a translator if you can't read German.) I changed the section about their next album in light of this new information. Solaris-ember (talk) 12:34, 22 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Missing articles edit

Where are the pages of the albums from Oomph! to Wunschkind? When I click on the albums it sends me to the Oomph general article! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.92.58.122 (talk) 17:25, 30 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
