Depends a lot as to whether the OVC article material was to be expanded. OVC was originally attached to UofT, and the UofG evolved from OVC if I am correct in my sequence - so OVC with two sep affiliations really should be kept separate - specially if more substance was added SatuSuro 00:10, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

The OVC is independent from the University of Guelph but has some intergration like Register etc. The article should be left alone here. 74.210.21.103 19:46, 20 June 2007 (UTC)MarcReply

I agree with the above two. They are two unique identities, although they do share some services just cause you go there doesn't mean you go to Guelph.--64.228.88.242 20:12, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am a student of the OVC, and I can confirm that, despite what many people (including my classmates) seem to believe, the OVC is very much a part of the University of Guelph. The OVC is one of the seven constituent colleges of the UoG, and thus like all other colleges operates semi-independantly in terms of all internal matters, but shares a common registrar, student services, and university administration. All degrees offered by the OVC are conferred by the UoG (including the B.Sc. undergraduate degrees run by the Department of BioMedical Science), and all faculty and staff veterinarians of the OVC are members of the University of Guelph Faculty Association (whose potential strike would have impacted the OVC just like the rest of the University had a late deal not recently been reached). The isolation of the OVC to its small set of buildings across from the main campus, and the fact that students rarely interact with the rest of the student population, often leads to the feeling that the OVC is in fact a separate entity, but this is simply not true. - Athomp07 (talk) 17:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

$9.5 million Grant? edit

Where did this info come from?

OVC has just recently[when?] been granted $9.5 million from the province of Ontario. The province is investing in a unique educational centre in primary healthcare at the University of Guelph's Ontario Veterinary College (OVC).

It took a long time but I found the source, finally. Recent? well, 2008 ... https://news.ontario.ca/archive/en/2008/02/12/Ontario-invests-in-new-hospital-at-Ontario-Veterinary-College.html |title=Ontario invests in new hospital at Ontario Veterinary College February 12, 2008 Province of Ontario.
