Flying Pickets - a cappella?

Is it just me, or does the Flying Picket's rendition of this tune sound as though it has been augmented by a sampling synth, such as the Fairlight CMI? It may sound like "a cappella", but I'll wager that it wasn't (strictly speaking..) Paul-b4 12:59, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I suppose it depends on how strictly one defines "a cappella". It does sound to me as well as if some of the vocals are samples. However, The Flying Pickets is known as an a cappella group, and even if sampled, it's still all voice. Mireille Mathieu version

Like The Flying Pickets and Enrique Iglesias, the French singer Mireille Mathieu recorded a cover of this song in 1984, first a French adaptation called On est bien then a German one entitled Mon amour (in den Armen deiner Zärtlichkeit). Other Reviewers than Allmusic...

I am concerned at the proliferation of quotes from AllMusic on Wikipedia. For instance, in this article the only review quoted of the original version of the song is one from AllMusic and part of it is misleading in the extreme - simply giving an opinion that Alison Moyet's singing style was the same as Anne Peebles (Ms Moyet has never quoted Ms Peebles as an influence) and then stating that Anne Peebles was a '70s' star - when her success was not only in that decade. I have removed this statement as solely quoting such opinions in an encyclopedia is really not helpful to music scholars. It really is not good to quote AllMusic writers' opinions in this way. Wikipedia is starting to seem like an advertisement for that company. Please can we cite other reviewers?
