Writing style

The original writer and editors of this article could use some training in writing. I mean, who writes, "positively associated with the process of uncertainty reduction" instead of "likely to reduce uncertainty"? Must be an HR thing.174.31.54.41 (talk) 21:12, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

IT/commercial uses of term → Disambiguation page?

For what it is worth, the IT culture has latched on to this term (in its hyphenated form) as a description of the process for preparing a computer or handheld device to access company IT infrastructure, especially to access company Internet/network connections. It is now a member of the BYOD buzzword suite. That use of the term might bear mention. (140.232.0.70 (talk) 16:05, 19 September 2013 (UTC))

Came here looking for this definition, after reading this: "...improve the on-boarding process and ensure that business data ownership was clearly defined." Source: https://evernote.com/corp/news/pr/2012-08-24_eb.php --115.70.51.39 (talk) 08:55, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

'Onboarding' may also name an aspect of CRM for freemium, in particular for freemium public-wide web applications - source: http://tourmyapp.com/archives/category/user-engagement
(well. maybe not only freemium: aren't some pages of Wikipedia's help, like WP:BOLD, and the mentoring programs on some Wikipedia localized editions, closely related both to 'new employee socialization', and to 'converting casual web visitors into active users' - or how would you best categorize them?).

Should therefore a disambiguation page for 'Onboarding' be created?
