External links modified edit

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on On the Run (convenience store). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. Australia edit

Can someone verify if Mobil master franchises OTR in Australia? They are now BPs and use completely different livery. Jordf32123 (talk) 06:55, 13 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Not true. Citation needed in this case.

On the Run in South Australia is not related to the On The Run that the article relates to.

Mobil sold their company owned servos to 7 Eleven Australia who in turn sold the South Australian servos to Peregrine who were already operating OTR servos under the BP livery. Alan Cramer (talk) 10:12, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

OTR seems to be their own creation and a separate entity to the Mobil one. Sure they had/have Mobil sites and the inspiration for their new businesses name is obvious, but "OTR" isn't the same as "On The Run". --Leonkernan (talk) 03:35, 27 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Weird because they used to franchise Wash'n'Run carwashes and very occasionally On the Run stores Jordf32123 (talk) 00:45, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

And with the announcement today that Viva Energy has bought OTR to replace the Coles Express branding on their Shell sites, it seems this really does need to be split out from the Mobil part --Leonkernan (talk) 02:10, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Seconded. On The Run in South Australia is nothing to do with the American company. Either some past editor couldn't tell the difference or someone decided to use this article as a backdoor into article space. 2406:3400:518:3D50:C42F:D353:8A7B:ADBE (talk) 11:54, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Jordf32123, Alan.cramer, Leonkernan, and 2406:3400:518:3D50:C42F:D353:8A7B:ADBE: There are citations that prove that there was no relation and even there was a court case between Shahin and Mobil in 2005. Australian operations have now been split into its own article, with details of the court case in there to. Marcnut1996 (talk) 12:27, 17 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ireland? edit

Not super wikipedia experienced so I am unsure of how to edit properly, but the "Ireland" section under operations is really worded poorly and lacking information. 2600:100A:B112:B4E5:20B5:D5EF:AB72:9F6E (talk) 06:02, 26 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
