Talk:Olalla (short story)

I've added some citations and hopefully reflected the discussion below - that there is some debate as to whether "Olalla" is about vampirism. Ammienoot (talk) 12:47, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Note: I am the source of the material that correct the common error that Stevenson's "Olalla" is 'about' vampirism. It isn't. It's a religious reaction to the, then newly minted notion, that animals--including human beings--evolve. Read the story understanding this. It will then become as clear as 2 + 2 = 4...and therefore require no citation. I am the authority and this world should not be deprived of the truth in my editing simply because I haven't published a paper on the subject and some ignorant average thinker insists of erasing fact because he learned the wrong freaking thing from a duped university professor.

I am the person who supplied the original paragraph containing the suggestion that "Olalla" is part of the vampire genre, if only in a cursory or symbolic way. I have no objection to your corrections of this misconception, if you like, but your tone has negated the required objectivity of Wikipedia and that must be remedied.
