Slaughter Gang appearance edit

He appeared on 21 Savage's mixtape Slaughter Gang on a track. Could someone ad it?

26 ounces of codeine edit

What was most likely found in the tour bus raid was 26 ounces of cough medicine containing codeine.. not 3/4 kilogram of codeine. Also 420 grams of marijuana? Recommend rewriting this section to omit details that cannot possibly have been verified. Maybe say he was stopped with drugs in his tour bus.198.179.125.170 (talk) 17:12, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Controversy edit

As part of my Gender and Sexuality in Hip Hop course I edited the page and added a section on Offset's use of the term "queer" and the controversy that came with thatKailey strafford (talk) 21:43, 7 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

As part of my Gender and Sexuality in Hip Hop class, I edited some grammar mistakes, added some sentences and citations to the "controversies" section to update the Offset/homophobia and how it is being handled. I have also uploaded a picture of Offset's apology to the wiki commons page. @nicolette321 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nicolette321 (talkcontribs) 20:59, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Personal Life edit

Does he have 3 or 5 children? Please clean up. Thediva (talk) 17:15, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I haven't done much research on this, but the article basically says that he proposed to his wife. Were they already married when he proposed? Even asking the question feels weird. Seconcepts (talk) 05:11, 22 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Offset has 4 children. They were not already married when he proposed

– The rapper is WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, as he is "highly likely—much more likely than any other topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term". 200,000+ page views for the rapper, 10,000+ for the next highest term and less than 3,000 for all others. KingAndGod 17:41, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose - When I think of "Offset" I think of Offset printing. Popularity is not the sole criterion in determining a primary topic. Yes, the rapper is quite popular, but there are also other articles that are extremely popular with respect to the rest of Wikipedia at large. Extreme popularity should not "tip the scale" when there are other equally relevant primary topics. In particular, the rapper fails the criterion where the primary topic should be "relevant for a general audience" - in fact, I'd say almost all the topics on the disambiguation page are more relevant to a general audience.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 19:03, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
But he does meet the criterion. He is the only topic that actually passes one of the criteria at WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. He is part of the genre pioneering group Migos which started various trends around the world, so maybe it could be relevant to the long-term significance criterion. I don't see how the other terms have long-term significance such as Offset printing. I don't think people would look for that term when searching for Offset, the rapper is a greater probability. KingAndGod 12:18, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Really? You really think a 26-year-old rapper who will doubtless be forgotten in a few years times has more long-term significance than offset printing? With all due respect, I think you might need to reassess your knowledge of the world! -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:22, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose – doesn't meet the "long-term significance" criterion of PTOPIC. Chase (talk | contributions) 20:21, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • An Offset is an offset, see wikt:offset, and the printing method. Most pop music is ephemeral. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:29, 8 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose currently primary for usage, other topics have more long-term significance. Peter James (talk) 17:04, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. There is no primary topic, per WP:NOPRIMARY. The rapper is not the Primary topic, even if he is currently trending in page views. The second part of WP:PTOPIC, omitted by the nominator, is A topic is primary for a term with respect to long-term significance if it has substantially greater enduring notability and educational value than any other topic associated with that term. Wikipedia is global, and should have equal utility to any English reading audience. I have never heard of the rapper (or Migos) until just now, although I don't doubt he has fans with a disproportionate view of his name (and a primary topic may not be "what first comes to mind"). A primary topic would be one that if one were to link to the subject in almost any article, it would go to the intended article. Thus, Michael Jackson is near universally known primarily as the singer and entertainer, while Michael Jackson (radio commentator) is a rare exception. Drake (musician) is currently well known as a singer, but not enough to supplant the disambiguation page Drake, where no usage is unambiguously a primary topic. --Animalparty! (talk) 03:16, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Common English term. No primary topic here. Just yet another attempt to suggest that someone's favourite music star is primary over all other uses of a common word. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:20, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The "About us" page at newalbum.org tells me that this is a couple of people with a personal website, which is not a reliable source per WP:BLOGS. It might work better if you can track down the sources they're using, and cite those directly. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 20:35, 12 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. It's also worth noting that the album is already listed in the discography. Hiàn (talk) 00:51, 25 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please change "On February 22, 2009...Father of 4" to "On February 22, 2019...Father of 4" because Offset's album was made in 2019 not 2009.
