Reformating inline citations edit

@BusterD: In response to your comment requesting reformat of parenthetical references currently in the text of the document to inline citations as defined in WP:CITE: WP:CITE section 3.2 Parenthetical referencing includes "short citations in parentheses, such as (Smith 2010, p. 1), are placed within the article text itself", which thus is a form of inline citations. In section 5.1 Variation in citation methods, it states that "When an article is already consistent, avoid: switching between major citation styles, e.g. parenthetical and <ref> tags,.." WP:PAREN provides further guidance for formatting of parenthetical citations as inline citations in the text of the article. Nevertheless, I will be happy to switch all of the parenthetical inline citations to the more common footnote style as requested and I will begin work on this in a couple of days. Before you go to all that trouble, let me get a second more experienced reviewer to look. I have seen lots of pages, and I just don't remember one using the style used. The cite style used is very consistent, I'll grant. While I think other styles are preferred, I noted the same sections you point out above when checking CITE today. Give me a day or two. Excellent work, BTW. Fascinating subject. BusterD (talk) 04:25, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
