Talk:Occitan Valleys

Map edit

The map is not helpful to non Italians/Occitanians. Could one of northern Italy be substituted with the area marked. 122.167.66.200 (talk) 09:24, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

482/99 Act edit

The "482/99 Act" is referred to several times without being defined. Perhaps a knowledgeable individual could address this. Thanks. Jim (talk) 18:30, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Note C below the map edit

The wonderful map of the area, with all comunes included, has a note C which is not completely clear:

C. Communes of the valleys that did not declared to be Occitan-speaking according to the Italian law 482/99.
This should be either: ... that did not declare to be Occitan-speaking ...
or: ... that declared not to be Occitan-speaking ...

There is a little but important difference between those two interpretations/translations. Fomalhaut76 (talk) 14:30, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Use of derogatory patois edit

Probably a bad idea to use the term patois for the language, since it is considered a derogatory exonym for the language, mainly used during the vergonha in France Salvador.borros (talk) 11:02, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
